Moscow calls plan 'politicized' but says nation is committed to 'thorough' probe

Russia vetoed a draft UN Security Council resolution on Wednesday aimed at setting up an international tribunal for bringing to justice those responsible for the downing of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 over Ukraine one year ago.

Eleven of the 15 members of the Security Council voted in favor of the resolution, which had been drafted by Australia, Belgium, Malaysia, the Netherlands and Ukraine, with abstentions by China, Angola and Venezuela.
