Telling tale, but one that does not reflect all

Thanks to surveillance video, an elderly man was proved to have falsely accused a helpful student of being the cause of his fall at a crossroads. However, it is too hasty to conclude that the elderly in general have low moral standards. Comments:

The elderly man is only one in a million and does not represent the country's entire population of senior citizens. There is definitely another scenario than this: a good Samaritan comes to the assistance of an elderly person, who then expresses gratitude. This is presumably the most frequent. Such a scenario seldom catches the media's attention as much as the other one.
