Kunming Party chief appointed
Cheng Lianyuan, 53, former Party chief in Beijing's Chaoyang district, has been appointed the Party chief in Kunming, capital of Yunnan province, China News Service reported on Wednesday. Cheng's predecessor, Gao Jinsong, was held for investigation in April on corruption charges. Two Party chiefs who served before Gao were also investigated for alleged corruption.
