British Prime Minister David Cameron is scheduled to speak out against "corrupt money from around the world" being laundered through real estate in Britain in a speech the will make during a trip to Southeast Asia on Tuesday.
The Conservative Party leader is to announce a consultation on increasing transparency on property ownership amid concerns from campaigners that rising property prices in Britain are fueled by corrupt cash.
Robert Palmer, head of the money-laundering campaign at the charity Global Witness, told China Daily that "What the prime minister has announced today is really important to get information of the real names who own the property."
