Prolific Prince ready with edgy new album

Less than a year after releasing two albums simultaneously, Prince is ready with another that is "super-experimental", members of his accompanying band say.

Prince will call it The Hit and Run Album, a reference to the pop icon's recent string of concerts which he announces on short notice.

The all-female trio that collaborated on one of his twin albums last year, 3rdEyeGirl, revealed details of the project in an interview released on Friday by BBC Radio 6 Music.
