More IT goods to get WTO benefits
World Trade Organization members finalized a deal on Friday to cut tariffs on information technology products worth $1 trillion in annual trade globally. The update of the decade-old Information Technology Agreement added 200 IT products to a duty-free list. The WTO did not announce the list, which is set to include semiconductors, printers and video game consoles. China and the United States are major drivers of the new ITA, while Russia is not likely to sign the deal.
