Beijing-based Caijing magazine reported on Monday that the China Securities Regulatory Commission was studying channels for withdrawing government funds, raising concerns about the country's equity markets. The CSRC reaffirmed regulatory support for the equity market at the midday break, calling the Caijing report "irresponsible". Comments:

Looking back on the rumored withdrawal of national rescue funds and the CSRC's swift response to allay concerns, it is clear that China's stock market remains vulnerable and is far from being stable. The supervisors are supposed to keep stabilizing the market and preventing systematic crises.
