CPC expels Ling Jihua

Ling Jihua, former vice-chairman of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee, has been expelled from the Communist Party of China and removed from public office following allegations that include bribery, disclosing Party and State secrets and adultery. The decision was made at a meeting of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee on Monday. The committee also decided to hand Ling's case over to the judiciary.
