China has been gearing up its exploration of commercial opportunities to boost its share of the international satellite launch market.

As of 2013, China Great Wall Industry Corp, the country's sole commercial provider of global satellite launch services and in-orbit delivery, had launched 45 satellites for 20 countries and regions.
