Berto set to cash in against 'Money'

Haitian-American welterweight Andre Berto has reportedly been handed the golden ticket to become Floyd Mayweather's opponent in his September farewell fight.

Berto (30-3), who has had a solid if not spectacular career, was chosen over the likes of Britain's Amir Khan despite losing three of his past six fights.

Respected boxing scribe Michael Woods broke the news on his website The Sweet Science - a revelation that has disappointed some sections of the boxing community.
