Sheepish Novak apologizes to ball girl

Novak Djokovic revealed he had personally apologized to the ball girl who was on the receiving end of his angry Wimbledon towel rant on Tuesday.

Djokovic, the defending champion, appeared to aggressively shout "Towel!" at the startled youngster during a tense moment in his five-set, fourth-round victory over Kevin Anderson.

The world No 1 was heavily criticized for leaving the ball girl visibly flustered, but he was quick to make amends as he sought her out after his quarterfinal win against Marin Cilic on Wednesday.
