Although they are highly educated, most young people working for social organizations in Beijing earn a low salary and plan to change jobs, according to a survey conducted in May by the Beijing Committee of the Communist Youth League of China.
The questionnaire was conducted among 1,347 young people under the age of 35 who work for registered social organizations, including private and not-for-profit organizations, and non-governmental organizations.
About 75 percent of those surveyed have a bachelor's degree or above, of which 20 percent have a graduate diploma, the survey said.
