Garbage removed from hoarder's home

More than 20 cleaners took nearly 12 hours to remove stacks of garbage collected by a former street sweeper in Yibin. The most recent haul of nearly 4 metric tons filled three trucks. The retired garbage collector, surnamed Zheng, 62, intended to make a living selling garbage. He brought garbage home and stored it in his apartment, but rarely sold anything. Neighbors complained about the smell and tried unsuccessful to negotiate with him. Since 2013, community workers have removed 9 tons of garbage from the home.
