Employees of at least three companies get their wages in cash

At least three companies in Greece, including the largest electronic appliances chain, have paid staff in cash after the country imposed limits on withdrawals from banks last week in a bid to ward off a possible financial collapse.
The move by Kotsovolos, a subsidiary of Britain's Dixons Carphone, and the other two companies is a sign of the domestic impact the crisis is having. The country closed its banks and limited withdrawals from ATMs to 60 euros ($66) a day.
Capital controls have started to take their toll on household budgets and are choking off the normal flow of operations for many businesses.
