Report says US spied on others in Brazil

By Agencies in Brasilia, Brazil | China Daily | Updated: 2015-07-06 07:29

The United States spied on the communications of dozens of senior Brazilian officials, in addition to President Dilma Rousseff, Brazilian media reported on Saturday.

WikiLeaks published 29 phone numbers monitored by the US National Security Agency, including those of some Brazilian ministers, diplomats and "important figures".

The publication shows that not only was Rousseff targeted but also her assistant, her secretary, her chief of staff, her palace office and the phone in her presidential jet, WikiLeaks said in a statement.
