First-round loss extends Eugenie's string of futility in recent outings
Eugenie Bouchard, who reached the Wimbledon final last year, was dumped out in the first round on Tuesday by world No 117 Duan Yingying of China.
The 7-6 (3), 6-4 loss to the qualifier was the 12th in the 12th-seeded Bouchard's past 14 matches and will see her drop out of the world top 20.
