Outplacement business expands with mergers

Information website 58.com's rapid acquisition of online job-hunting platform ChinaHR.com has not only sparked heated discussions about the twists and turns in China's online recruitment market, it also highlighted a growing human resources business.

It's called outplacement, in which a company helps former employees transition to new jobs.

Since 58.com announced the acquisition on May 8, the merger of all kinds of tasks, including labor contracts and payment of compensation, has marched ahead swiftly, covering all 1,300 employees in its 15 offices in China.
