Saudi named in bomb attack
Kuwaiti authorities named the suicide bomber in Friday's attack on a Shiite mosque that killed 27 people as Fahad Suleiman Abdulmohsen al-Gabbaa, a Saudi citizen who flew into the Gulf nation just hours before he blew himself up. Al-Gabbaa was born in 1992, making him 22 or 23 years old, the authorities said.

Bus flips; all children survive
A bus carrying British schoolchildren went off the highway and overturned near the Belgian coast. The mayor of Middelkerke, Janna Rommel-Opstaele, said one person was killed in the Sunday morning accident on the E-40 highway. The mayor said all of the children survived.
Burundi
Police blamed in night attacks
At least two people were killed in overnight attacks that witnesses believe were carried out by Burundian police, several people said on Sunday as the country prepared for legislative elections despite an upsurge in violence. Witnesses in the Jabe neighborhood in the nation's capital, Bujumbura, reported intense gunfire in an apparent police crackdown on areas seen as hosting protesters.

68 soldiers killed at checkpoints
The death toll of Syrian soldiers in recent attacks by Islamic State in Hama province rose to 68, a monitoring group reported on Sunday. IS launched "violent" attacks against three military checkpoints in the Sheikh Hilal area in northern countryside of Hama on Friday, according to observers.

109 arrested for public urination
In a major crackdown on public nuisance, Indian police have arrested more than 100 people for urinating in public in the northern state of Uttar Pradesh. The arrests were made by the Railway Police in the tourist town of Agra on Saturday. All were released after a night's stay at a police station and after paying a fine of Rs500 ($8) each, a senior police officer said on Sunday.

US will 'support' lifting embargo
Visiting US senator Patrick Leahy said on Saturday that the most congressmen and US citizens "support" the restoration of diplomatic relations with Cuba and the lifting of the economic blockade against the island. Leahy, a Democratic senator leading a delegation of senators comprising Democrat Benjamin Cardin of Maryland and Republican Dean Heller of Nevada.

SpaceX launch ends in failure
An unmanned SpaceX rocket carrying supplies and the first-of-its-kind docking port to the International Space Station broke apart on Sunday shortly after liftoff. The accident occurred about 2 1/2 minutes into the flight from Cape Canaveral, Florida. Pieces could be seen falling into the Atlantic Ocean.
