Volkswagen Import recognized as "2015 China low-carbon model"

Owing to the energy saving and eco-friendly features as well as the excellent performance of its electric up! model, Volkswagen Group Import China has been recognized as a "2015 China Low-Carbon Model".

The award was given at the the opening ceremony of the sixth "Low-carbon Development, Green Livelihood" exhibition, which has the theme of "Low-carbon, making life greener." The exhibition opening and "2015 China Low-Carbon Model" awards ceremony was held at the Grand Hyatt Beijing on Thursday.

The annual event was organized by the China News Service and China Newsweek under the guidance of the National Commission of Development and Reform, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Environmental Protection, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission, the State Council Information Office, and the Beijing municipal government, with the aim of popularizing low-carbon practices and promoting a green lifestyle.
