Senior official probed over graft

Alimjan Maimaitiming, secretary general of the Xinjiang Uygur autonomous region government, is being investigated on suspicion of serious violations of discipline, a common term for corruption, the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection said on Sunday. Alimjan is also a member of the Party leadership group of the regional government.
