Dunga says 'mystery virus' contributed to Brazil's woes

By Agence France-Presse in Concepcion | China Daily | Updated: 2015-06-29 06:43

Brazil coach Dunga blamed a mystery virus for his team's stunning Copa America exit to Paraguay on Saturday as the world's most successful soccer nation struggled to digest another major tournament setback.

According to Dunga, as many as 15 members of his squad were affected by the virus, which he said disrupted preparations for the quarterfinal.

"I'm not making excuses, but around 15 players had viruses which limited our training," Dunga said.
