With the theme of "Embracing a new era of eco-civilization - a new agenda, a new normal and new action", the Eco Forum Global Annual Conference Guiyang 2015 is being held in the capital of Guizhou province from Friday through Sunday.

At the Guiyang International Eco-Conference Center, more than 1,000 government leaders, corporate executives, preeminent scholars and representatives from environmental groups will discuss a wide range of environmental issues.

These include new international, regional and national agendas for sustainable development; catalyzing an innovation-driven and environmentally conscious transformation of industries; promoting green urbanization; fostering a governance system that promotes a culture of eco-civilization; and establishing a system to determine the parameters of the national ecology.

About 30 sessions during the three-day event will cover topics such as climate change, green employment, the future of global sustainable energy, a green and modern Silk Road, environmentally clean agriculture and competition for startups.

Half of the topics are related to promoting a green economy, 20 percent are concerned about ecological issues such as air, water and soil, another 20 percent discuss the development of an eco-civilization, while the remainder of the topics will be about the latest developments in green economic models from various regional economies.
