Group to boost manufacturing

The State Council, China's Cabinet, will set up a leading group for its plan to enhance the country's manufacturing prowess and improve the reputation of "Made in China" goods. The group, led by Vice-Premier Ma Kai, will coordinate, deliberate and implement plans for making China a world manufacturing power, according to a statement published on the government's website. The group will be based in the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
