Marking an important tradition
The Dragon Boat Festival, which occurred at the weekend, is one of the most important traditional Chinese festivals. There are several stories about the festival's origin and the most widely accepted is that it commemorates Qu Yuan, a minister and patriot-poet of the Chu Kingdom in the Warring States Period (475-221 BC).
