Stars will shine in Charlotte in 2017

The Charlotte Hornets will host the NBA All-Star game in 2017.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver made the announcement on Tuesday at a news conference at the team's downtown arena. The Hornets last hosted an All-Star game in 1991 at the since-demolished Charlotte Coliseum.
The Hornets are owned by Michael Jordan, the six-time NBA champion became the team's majority owner in 2010 and has sought to bring the game to Charlotte since.
