Uma Thurman's daughter turns heads at the CFDA Awards

Not every 16-year-old will get to walk their first red carpet in the company of a designer who has dressed the likes of Michelle Obama, Rihanna and Naomi Campbell. But then again Maya Thurman-Hawke isn't your average 16-year-old.

As the daughter of former Hollywood couple Uma Thurman and Ethan Hawke, Maya Thurman-Hawke bagged herself an invite to one of the most prestigious fashion events in the US earlier this month: the CFDA Awards.

Having sighted Maya on the carpet on a couple of occasions in the company of her mother or father (never both simultaneously, they divorced 10 years ago) over the past year, that night marked the young New Yorker's solo foray into the spotlight.
