Ceremony marks birth of a city
A ceremony in honor of Tibet's Nyingchi prefecture being upgraded to a prefecture-level city was held on Friday. Located in southeastern Tibet at an average altitude of 3,100 meters, Nyingchi is now the fourth prefecture-level city in Tibet, after the regional capital Lhasa, and the prefecture-level cities of Qamdo and Xigaze.
