Antiquities departments across the country have organized events to celebrate Chinese Cultural Heritage Day, which falls on Saturday.

Inaugurated in 2006, the one-day celebration aims to raise public awareness and engage the public in the preservation of China's heritage.

The theme this year is: "Protect our treasures and share them with the public."
