Queensland to count its crocs
An Australian state government will conduct a survey to reveal the actual size of its endangered crocodile population for the first time in a decade, local media reported on Wednesday. Queensland Environment Minister Steven Miles said it was impossible to tell whether saltwater and estuarine crocodiles were in abundance or in danger in Queensland without the study as part of an overhaul of the state's crocodile management program.
