Downpours kill 10; four missing

Heavy rainfall has pummeled eight provinces and one municipality in southern China since Sunday, killing 10 people and leaving four others missing, the Ministry of Civil Affairs said on Tuesday. The downpours have triggered floods, landslides and hailstorms in the provinces of Zhejiang, Anhui, Fujian, Jiangxi, Hubei, Hunan, Sichuan and Guizhou, as well as Chongqing municipality, a ministry news release said.
