Xi asks officials to see big picture

President Xi Jinping called on officials on Friday to fully understand the big picture of reform and pay full attention to the role of successful pilot programs. Xi presided over the 13th meeting of the Central Leading Group for Deepening Overall Reform. The meeting approved an initiative for Hainan province to draft a plan that includes a wide range of visions in the region on economic and social development, urban and rural outlines, land resources distribution and an environmental protection plan in an effort to cut red tape.
