Smuggled meat seized in campaign

The General Administration of Customs said it has confiscated frozen meat with an estimated value of more than 3 billion yuan ($484 million) in a nationwide anti-smuggling operation. The campaign, which focused on frozen meat, was launched earlier this month across 14 provinces and municipalities, including Beijing and Guangdong, and 21 organized gangs had been busted by Tuesday, the GAC said.
