Palace Museum hits out over nude shoot

By Xu Wei | China Daily | Updated: 2015-06-02 07:46

The Palace Museum has condemned a photo shoot featuring a nude female model in front of its ancient halls, saying the act damaged the dignity of the World Heritage Site.

The museum said four tourists - the model and three photographers - avoided crowds of visitors on May 17 by arriving at their preplanned shooting sites at about 8:30 am and starting work.

They were stopped by museum employees about 20 minutes later, a statement released on Monday said.
