CSR department roles become more popular

Study shows 61% of participants work in firms that set up CSR units in the past year ZHU WENQIAN

An increasing number of companies in China have created specific departments to deal with corporate social responsibility functions, and a higher proportion of staff are taking on full-time jobs related to social causes, a new study shows.

The China CSR Map, created by Syn Tao Co Ltd, a leading Beijing-based consultancy promoting sustainability and responsibility across Asia, gathered the opinions of more than 60 professional CSR managers who work in the private and public sectors, via online questionnaires, e-mail, WeChat and face-to-face interview.
