From June 1 to next April, electric cars in Beijing will be exempt from driving restrictions based on license plate numbers during peak hours, as part of measures to reduce air pollution.
"The move will increase demand for electric cars in Beijing as millions of people are competing to buy gasoline-fueled cars."
