NDRC approves subway, rail deals worth $39b
The National Development and Reform Commission, China's top economic planner, approved a series of new subway and rail projects on Monday, worth a total investment of more than 240 billion yuan ($38.69 billion). The subway deals include those in Chengdu, Sichuan province and Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region. Rail plans linking Xuzhou with Yancheng in Jiangsu province, and the Jinan-Qingdao high-speed railway in Shandong province were also given the green light.
