China Daily | Updated: 2015-05-14 07:44

After her record of driving offences and her lifestyle were dissected by netizens, the female driver who was attacked by a male driver after cutting in front of his car several times in Chengdu, southwest Sichuan province, which incident aroused hot discussions, changed her attitude and apologized. Comments:

When somebody becomes the focus of online discussions, all information about that person will be unveiled and his/her life put in spotlight. Those having their privacy stripped off might have committed wrongdoings, but do they deserve this and is it legal? Worse, they cannot even defend themselves using the law because they will not know who first released the information and so will not be able to sue them. We are establishing the rule of law and please stop such crazy online frenzies.
