Documenting mother's life a long quest for loving sons

Nearly a decade in the making, video honors woman whose children knew little of her past

Sunday is Mother's Day, and Shen Changming from Xinxiang, Henan, celebrated the day with his four siblings and their children as usual to honor his mother's contribution to the family.

Shen's mother, Li Wenying, died of cerebral hemorrhage in 2005. Born in an era of war, Li grew up in Shanxi but later fled to Henan because of famine. Her birthday was unclear.
