More eco-friendly measures urged

China pledged on Tuesday to carry out more environmentally friendly measures in its economic development. A set of 35 guidelines was published by the central government to regulate the use of land and resources. Governments at all levels were urged to better protect the environment, save resources and boost technological innovation as well as economic restructuring.
