ITTF harbors no fears of being dropped from Games

Rumors of table tennis' exclusion from the Olympics due to China's overwhelming supremacy have long been heard but the sport's world governing body has shrugged off such speculation, citing progress around the world with help from China.

As China's mighty ping-pong contingent expects to claim another sweep of the five titles up for grabs at the individual World Championships, concerns that the lack of competence of other countries at the elite level is jeopardizing the game's place in the Olympics has been raised again.

However, the International Table Tennis Federation remains confident about the game's long-term survival in the Olympic program.
