I returned to hometown for a better life

I wouldn't say I wanted to escape from the stressful work and life in Beijing. I would rather say I chose to return to my hometown of Chongqing for a higher quality of life.
I made up my mind when I was at college that I would eventually return home to settle down. I worked in the capital at KPMG, one of the world's big four auditors, for nearly two years after graduating from Beijing Foreign Studies University with a master's degree in translation.
The reason I stayed was to acquire work experience that would help me to land a decent job in Chongqing.
