Fugitive Yang to be repatriated

A former official who fled overseas more than 10 years ago is being repatriated to China to face charges of bribery and embezzlement involving 250 million yuan ($40.3 million), Global Times reported on Friday. Yang Xiuzhu, a former deputy head of Zhejiang province's construction bureau, went abroad in 2003 and was arrested in the Netherlands two years later. She is one of 100 Chinese fugitives who are being sought, and an arrest warrant was issued for her by Interpol.
