109,000 hit for frugality violations

More than 109,000 members of the CPC have been punished for violating the Party's frugality campaign as of March, a senior official said on Thursday. Huang Shuxian, minister of supervision and deputy chief of the Central Commission for Discipline Inspection, said in a tele-conference that disciplinary watchdogs nationwide have investigated 82,693 suspected frugality violations and punished 109,047 officials.
