Colder air ahead, forecaster says
A southeasterly cold front will chill central and south China with temperature drops of up to 8 C, the National Meteorological Center forecast on Sunday. The cold air now freezing the Inner Mongolia autonomous region will sweep across the country's central and southeastern areas, bringing torrential rains and forcing temperatures down. Temperatures will decline by another 4 to 8 C in these regions, the NMC predicted, following cooling of up to 12 degrees recorded since Saturday morning.
