New era of PHEVs lights up with BMW outdoor ad

Editor's note: With the new BMW PHEV fleets showcased at Shanghai Auto Show, the German premium auto brand projects an interactive OLED ad at the Bund, with the theme of "Empowering Tomorrow".

BMW, an acknowledged forerunner of new energy vehicle technologies, is at the frontier of Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle development to help the world design an eco-friendly path.

Marking the new era of PHEV, which features a new high public awareness, is the leading role they play in BMW's latest outdoor ad campaign at Shanghai's landmark, the Bund.

Themed as "Empowering Tomorrow", this outdoor campaign is meant to make an impact, both visually and on viewer's consciences.

Two eye-catching giant OLED screens on skyscrapers that define the skyline of the Bund have been integrated into one major stage to demonstrate the intuitive interaction between the electric motor and internal combustion engine that make up the PHEV powertrain, as well as the instant connection between PHEVs and charging poles.

BMW cars and the company's charging poles fit like a perfect couple with a natural dynamic, energy and passion as understandable as BMW's concern for environmental protection.

This creative way of convincing consumers of PHEV merits comes from BMW's long-term commitment to the green cause.

The star-studded lineup in BMW's "Empowering Tomorrow" outdoor campaign is made up by three of its latest new energy offers - the BMW X5 SAV, BMW i8 sports car, and BMW 5 Series sedan.

The vehicle's appearance on the Bund is just the start of a blockbuster about BMW PHEV in the making.

Auto Shanghai 2015, the biggest auto show in China that opens on April 20, will be their next big stage to wow the crowd.
