Now with 5 doors
Real-life road tests
From October to November 2014, a wide array of national and local media outlets gathered in Chongqing to participate in the national test drive of the new MINI 5 Door. One MINI 5 Door was assigned to each media outlet, and they were given free rein to enjoy three days of driving without fixed routes. This form of test drive guaranteed maximum freedom for the media to express their creativity.
With the New MINI 5 Door, Orient Auto magazine came up with a loving idea; the magazine editors collected hand prints from pupils from local primary school. For each child who dipped their hand in paint and left his/her print on a designated white MINI 5 Door, the magazine editors donated 20 yuan ($3.22). They used the money to buy an electronic organ and fund facilities, toys and many teaching materials for the local Hope School. The magazine also test drove the "MINI 5 Door roller coaster" on Chongqing's bumpy mountain roads while delivering the teaching materials to the school. Yuan Peng / Orient Auto |
