Another Shanghai highlight is the Chinese premiere of the new BMW M6 models.

The outgoing models had already set new benchmarks with the flawless balance of power, efficiency, agility, comfort and luxury that are typical of M models. Now the new BMW M6 lineup is poised to write a fresh chapter in this success story, fuelled by an even more finely honed, well-resolved overall concept.
Part of the credit here goes to an extended range of standard equipment, including LED headlights and Park Distance Control, the cutting-edge tech-style interior with iPhone-look Central Information Display and center console in black panel design and the even greater scope for individualization brought about by new exterior colors, new leather shades, a full-leather trim variant with contrast stitching and attractive accents in black chrome.

The model also comes equipped with premium functions like the professional navigation and Harman Kardon sound system for a more comfortable and joyful driving experience.
The BMW ConnectedDrive application has also been upgraded, and this car is the automaker's first locally produced sedan equipped with its most intelligent all-wheel-drive technology. The BMW xDrive was created in 2003 but the company has been building all-wheel-drive cars for almost 30 years, the first of which was the BMW 325iX that launched in 1985.
Like the 328Li xDrive, the limited edition has a 4 cylinder TwinPower Turbo engine that can generate 180kW of maximum power and a top torque of 350 Nm.
The company's suggested price for the limited edition is 487,800 yuan and only 40 units are available nation wide.
The all new BMW X5 M and X6 M further highlighted the BMW booth. The BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M set the benchmark in the high-performance SAV/SAC segment in terms of overall concept, dynamic ability and agility.
Both models combine hallmark M performance with the versatility of the X family. Both models are equipped with the M TwinPower Turbo engine, the most powerful engine among all BMW all-wheel-drive models.
The engine can produce a maximum power of 423 kW/575rpm, 4 percent higher than earlier models; and a peak torque of 750 Nm, 10 percent more than the previous models.
With an 8-speed M Steptronic manual and automatic transmission, it only takes both models 4.2 seconds to go from zero to 100km/h.
A reduction in CO2 emissions of more 20 percent over their predecessors makes the BMW X5 M and BMW X6 M the most efficient models in the high-performance SAV/SAC segment.
