Authorities institute registration reforms

By Yang Wanli | China Daily | Updated: 2015-04-17 07:16

In February, the National Health and Family Planning Commission made provincial-level governments responsible for establishing a coordination center for all cancer registrations in their home regions.

To promote better registration nationwide and provide fast and accurate monitoring of the disease, the commission also ordered registration offices to be set up at city and county levels.

Disease prevention and control centers at provincial, city and county levels are now also required to provide annual data roundups about cancer-related deaths.
