Exhibition Special: Third ALEEX expected to build on past success
Riding on the success of its debut in April 2014 and its second triumphant run in October, the third edition of Home Appliances, Lighting & Electronics Exhibition, or ALEEX, opens today at the Poly World Trade Center in Guangzhou.
To last until Friday, the trade fair is set to continue rendering an exceptional sourcing platform for buyers looking for a new supply of Asian-made products.
The second edition of ALEEX in October, in addition to gathering an increased number of exhibiting companies, drew an enormous attendance of 10,653 professional buyers from 135 countries and regions. That was an increase of 32 percent from the April session. The majority of the visitors were from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong and emergent markets in Asia. Both exhibitors and buyers were happy with the show results and eagerly look forward to the third edition that begins today.
This third show is much bigger with 350 booths featuring more than 250 exhibitors from the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea, forming a strong line-up to present their latest and best products.
These Asian suppliers are famous for offering well-designed and high quality products at reasonable prices, including smart electrical home appliances and gadgets, audiovisual products, personal electronics, electronic parts and components, household and commercial lighting, LED and ecolighting, and decorative lighting. Once again, trade buyers from abroad and from the fast-growing Chinese market can source from and meet directly with the exhibiting Asian suppliers.
ALEEX is co-organized by Guangzhou Grandhub Exhibition Co Ltd and Mega Expo (Hong Kong) Ltd and is supported by trade and economic associations in Fujian, Zhejiang and Guangdong provinces.
Scheduled as a biannual event every April and October, ALEEX fits well with the peak buying seasons of international buyers on their Asia-South China sourcing circuit.
Moreover, it takes place at the same time as Canton Fair Phase 1, and is located in the Poly World Trade Center adjacent to Canton Fair's Pazhou venues. This strategic combination of timing and location creates a double opportunity for trade buyers to best benefit by doing their sourcing at both fairs.
According to the show manager Mega Expo, trade buyers visiting ALEEX can enjoy a host of special onsite services. A business-matching service offered by Mega Expo will enable them to meet preselected target exhibitors during the show. In addition, a free shuttle service and onsite business center help make visits to the show hassle-free.
