Rodgers sets sights on Cup glory as Euro bid unravels

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers is looking to avoid an FA Cup upset at Blackburn on Wednesday as his side tries to ease the disappointment of its fading challenge for a place in the Champions League.

A run of eight wins from nine Premier League games up to the middle of March had Liverpool in a strong position to secure a top-four finish.

But successive losses to Manchester United and Arsenal on either side of the international break have left the Red Devils in fifth place, well back of the top four.
